DAY COACH TRIP TO LLANERCHAERON HOUSE, NR ABERAERON
WEDNESDAY, 8TH JUNE 2011
This 18th Century Welsh minor gentry estate has survived virtually unaltered and is now in the ownership of The National Trust. The villa, designed in the 1790s, is the most complete example of the early work of John Nash. The grounds, include a walled (working) kitchen garden, an ornamental lake, and parkland which provides peaceful walks.
ITINERARY
8.30 am Leave the Cathedral Green (a comfort stop will be made en-
12 noon approx. Arrive at Llanerchaeron House (this time will allow for fairly slow roads after leaving the M4). The coach will be met on arrival with a talk and tour. The cafe serves only light lunches, eg sandwiches, soup etc (not included in the cost) and we have been asked to advise how many will need to be catered for, so perhaps you could state on the form below whether you would like lunch here.
4pm Leave Llanerchaeron House for a stop at nearby Aberaeron where those who wish can purchase a meal from the many restaurants etc (again not included in the cost) and where there is a highly recommended fish and chip restaurant.
5.30pm-
8.45pm approx. Arrive Llandaff -
